We have access to several good beats on the Rivers Tweed and Nith. The River Clyde is close by Shieldhill and can offer some good trout, and outstanding grayling, for which it is justly famous.

Autumn fishing combined with grouse or partridge shooting can give an enjoyable mixed week, and it is one we recommend. For the less experienced, several local lochs and reservoirs offer some good sport. Tuition and tackle hire can be arranged. Drying facilities are available within Shieldhill.
